So, after two kinds of bait/poison, countless smoke bombs, mole holes packed with cedar shavings, 2 gallons of homemade cayenne pepper based repellent poured down the holes and 5 weeks of fighting, the front lawn looks like this on a Saturday morning!!!

This mole has now excavated 2 wheelbarrows full of dirt from UNDER the lawn.

The newest idea for a remedy--pack every hole that can be found with dry ice. 14 mounds removed and 30+ lbs. of dry ice packed into the holes.

After successful packing, and a little warm water, things start looking like this. Let's hope that the CO2 crept into every corner of the burrow (borough??) and silently asphyxiated him!!!
